Stella is our Certified Grief Therapy dog. She is a member of our staff and a furry family member of Jim and Lisa Recker and big sister to Ruby. Stella was born on December 3, 2021 and is an F1 Standard Bernedoodle. She is low-shedding, allergy-friendly and wonderful with children and adults. She graduated top of her class in Puppy Kindergarten and then completed Basic Obedience and Advanced Obedience classes through North Coast K9, who specialize in training police dogs. After passing all classes with her handler, Lisa, she went on to complete the American Kennel Club Good Citizen Test and passed that as well. Stella then completed all 4 required tests through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs to become a Certified Therapy Dog in 2025. She maintains her certification by completing monthly documented visits to local Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Senior Centers, Schools, Funeral Home visitations and wherever she can help to bring smiles and joy to young and old alike.
