Patricia C. (Souder) Newhouse Obituary (1929

Patricia C. Newhouse, 93, of Clyde, died Sunday, August 14, 2022 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born June 18, 1929 in Fostoria to William H. & Sarah C. (Herbert) Souder. Pat was raised in the Flat Rock Home and graduated from Thompson High School. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clyde. She was an active member of the Clyde community, often seen on walks around town, at the Clyde Public Library, or volunteering to help others. On March 5, 1949 she married Arlyn Newhouse. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1999. Survivors include their son, John Newhouse of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Dustin (Teri) Noftz of Fremont; Krista (Neal) Barrett of Clyde; Leslie (Wayne) Witt of Clyde; Andrea (Mark) Schoenfeld of Green Springs; eleven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Ed Noftz of Clyde; and her brother, ElDean Souder of Michigan. Mrs. Newhouse was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Roger Newhouse; daughter, Linda Noftz; brothers, Elsworth & Donald Souder; and sister, Deloris. Visitation will be Noon-2:00pm Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St, Clyde. Her funeral service will begin 2:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Kurt Luebkeman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be given to the Clyde Public Library.
