Marlene J. Tornow, 88, of rural Fremont, Ohio, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born Marlene Joyce Keegan on January 3, 1938, in Clyde, Ohio, Marlene lived a life full of love, joy, and service. A loving mother to her children, a dedicated worker, and a thoughtful friend to many, Marlene's generous spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.

Marlene's dedication was evident in every aspect of her life. She worked tirelessly as a secretary at Whirlpool and Clyde Cutlery, and later as a cook at the Heinz Factory in Fremont, where she retired after more than 20 years of devoted service. Marlene was also a longtime member of the Busy Bee's Card Club and loved camping with her husband, Don and the Maumee Bay Winnie's. Marlene and Don traveled to almost all fifty states. She and Don had a special place in their heart for car shows, and cherished every moment spent on the front porch watching traffic, feeding the squirrels, and listening to the birds. Riding bikes with her grandchildren was one of her favorite pastimes, and her belief that kids and babies are blessings reflected her love for family. In her religious life, Marlene was an active choir member at St. Paul's, where she shared her love for singing.

Marlene is survived by her children Valerie M. (Barry) Boss, Matthew J. (Deanna) Tornow, Donna J. (David) Hisey, and Steven G. (Christie) Tornow.
