Linda "Gig" A. (Sawyer) Sumner Obituary (1947

Linda A. "Gig" Sumner, 74, of Clyde, died at The Willows of Bellevue on Monday, August 8, 2022. Gig was born in Fremont on November 10, 1947 to the now deceased Ann (Bauman) and Melvin Sawyer. She was a member of the 1966 graduating class of Clyde High School. An avid quilter, she belonged to the Quilting Guild in Bellevue, where she was able to enjoy and display her talent. On November 26, 1966, she married Adrian "Chuck" Sumner, who preceded her in death on July 7, 2009. Survivors include two sons, Wade (Micki) Sumner of Republic and David (Kelley) Sumner of Castalia, as well as grandchildren: Bo Smith, Gage Sumner, Lucas Sumner and Leanne Sumner. Also a brother, John (Margie) Sawyer of Lake Wales, Florida and a sister Vicki (Cal) Klickman of Lima, Ohio along with three nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, August 26,2022 from 11:00 am until noon at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the humane society of your choice.
