Joyce Craig

Joyce C. Craig, 88, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Pro Medica Memorial Hospital, Fremont. She was born in Clyde on December 13, 1937 to the late Harold T. and Elma (Perrin) Miller. Joyce married Thomas “Tom” Craig on December 29, 1956 and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2024. They were married 68 years.

Joyce graduated from Green Springs High School in 1955 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 1975. She was an elementary school teacher for the Clyde-Green Springs Schools with most of her years teaching kindergarten at South Main School. She was a substitute teacher and a volunteer at the school after retiring. She also volunteered at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

Joyce was a member of Mt Carmel Church where she played the piano for services and taught children in Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Stemtown Historical Society Museum in Green Springs, the Sandusky County Retired Teachers and the VFW Post 6067 Auxiliary.

Joyce is survived by her children: Victor (Bianca) Craig, Matthew (Linda) Craig, Melanie (John) Woodland and Bradley (Tesie) Craig; grandchildren: Ethan Woodland, Audra Woodland, Brady Craig, and Brandon (Alizah) Craig; brothers: Karl (Lynnette) Miller, Dale Miller, sisters-in-law: AnnMarie Miller, Charlotte Klingbiel and Mary (Al) Stull. In addition to her parents and husband, Tom, she was preceded in death by brothers: Glenn Miller, George Miller, Frank Miller, Paul Miller, Don Miller, Dean Miller and sister: Elsie Ayres.

Visitation will be held at 10am, Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Mt Carmel Church, 4997 CR 183, Clyde, OH. Memorial Service will follow at 11am.
