Joseph J. Landoll

Joseph J. Landoll, 86, of rural Bellevue, died at Stein Hospice on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Mr. Landoll was born in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio on July 4, 1929, The only child of the now deceased Isaac and Mary (Meyer) Landoll. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, and had been a member of the former Reed Assumption. He was a member of the Bellevue Eagles and had enjoyed being a member of the Havana Merchants Fast Pitch Soft Ball team in his younger days. Joe had been a farmer all his life, a bus driver for Seneca East School for 26 years and had worked at Whirlpool Corp for four years. On August 30, 1958, he married Lois Holmes. She survives, along with their four daughters; Sandy (Dennis) Wilhelm, Monroeville; Sue (Jon) Schoen, Bellevue; Shar (Irv) Heiser, Attica and Lisa Landoll, Bellevue. Eight grandchildren, Leanne Martin; Laura Wilhelm; Nicole Schoen; Justin Schoen; Courtney Heiser; Shayden Heiser; Emma Flynn and Nyah Flynn. One great grandchild, Phynnleigh also survives. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 3-7:00 pm at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, Ohio. The Christian Vigil will be at 2:30pm. His funeral mass will be 10:30am Wednesday, following one hour of visitation at Our Lady of Hope, on October 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica with Rev. Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will be in Reed Assumption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church or Reed Cemetery Fund.
