John Thomas Halsey, Jr., 60, of Bellevue, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 18, 2026 following complications from open heart surgery. Born on May 12, 1965, in Bellevue, Ohio, John was a funny, loving, thoughtful, and generous man. His infectious laughter and warm heart brought joy to all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
John worked for Whirlpool and served as a car detailer for several local dealerships. Despite his dedication to his work, John always found time for his hobbies. He was an avid golf player, a car enthusiast, and a die-hard fan of Michigan Wolverines, the Cleveland Indians, and the Browns. He was always on the search for Big Foot, and he looked forward to meals at Longhorn Steak House with his family. John's generosity and care extended beyond his human family to his beloved furry family: Rufus, Tiger, Izzy, Lucy Lou, and grand dog Oakley.
John was raised Baptist and had attended the Providence Baptist Church, Bellevue. He found solace and strength in the words of the Lord.
John is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lori (Klausz) Halsey, and their two daughters, Jordan and Hannah Halsey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Iva Halsey.
