John "Skip" Gedert, III Obituary (1950

John Joseph Gedert, III "Skip", 61, of Clyde died at his home on Monday, December 19, 2011. John was born on July 24, 1950 to the late John J. Jr. and Ruth (Cleveland) Gedert. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1968 and then Notre Dame in 1972. He had worked for D&D Construction and more recently at Our Town's Brewin' both of Clyde. John was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde; and enjoyed camping, boating and his horse. However, his first joys were his grandchildren. On April 28, 1973, he married the former Susan Wilbert and she survives as do their children: Jennifer Ferguson, Haskins, Ohio; Theresa (Michael) Peddicord, New Jersey; and Michael (Jessica) Gedert, Clyde. Six grandchildren, Eddie; Brooke; Avery; Alyssa; Benjamin; Mathew along with his siblings, Cindy Ott (Don Jr.) ; Tom Gedert; Kathy (Bill) Hartwig all of Clyde and Michael (Vicki) Gedert, Sharonville also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Daniel Gedert and four grandchildren.
