Jeannette A. Billings

Jeannette A. Billings, 71, of Clyde, Ohio, passed away on March 29, 2026. She was born in Fremont, Ohio, on October 31, 1954, to Alfred and Dorothy (Eschenauer) Billings. Jeannette, affectionately known as "Nette," was a bright beacon in the lives of those who knew her. Her smart mind, thoughtful nature, and loving heart made her an unforgettable individual, loved and cherished by many.

A 1973 graduate of Clyde High School, Jeannette's passion for learning led her to Bowling Green State University where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She later attended Owens College, showcasing her athletic prowess in basketball and tennis, and earned a degree in Administration. She greatly admired her coach, Terry Markette, and carried the lessons learned both on the court and in the classroom into her professional life as an Administrator at Friendly Center in Toledo, OH.

Jeannette's love of sports extended beyond her college years. She was an avid fan of the Lakers and a loyal member of the Clyde GAA and Falcon Member at BGSU. Her love for the game of basketball was only surpassed by her deep care for her family. It was this love and devotion that defined Jeannette's life.

She is survived by her significant other, Patricia Peck, of Clyde, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Billings, Clyde, Ohio; nieces and nephews; Tim (Christy) Billings, Tom (Peggy) Billings, Mike (Jenny) Billings, Karen (John) Gerber, Kari (Greg) Pfarrer, Kristie (Greg) Brown, Karla (Mike) Geyman and many great and great-great nieces and nephews along with her furry buddies, Lillie, Diamond and Gibby.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, A. James Billings and Dorothy Billings, sister Virginia Wilson, and brother James Billings, Jeannette's loving spirit will be carried on by her dear ones.

Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. Pastor Rose Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Jeannette may be made to
