Janice Covert

Janice M. Covert, 67, of Clyde, Ohio, passed away on July 3, 2025. Born on September 16, 1957, Janice lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her community. Janice spent 18 years working as a clerk for the Fremont License Bureau before her retirement. A proud member of the Clyde VFW Auxiliary and St Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde, Janice's impact on her community was profound and will not soon be forgotten.

Janice leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Covert of Clyde, Ohio; her beloved son, Andrew (Elizabeth) Spencer of Kent, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob Spencer, Oakland Jones, and Emerson Jones; sister, Jean (Sherman) Goble of Clyde, Ohio; brother, Robert (Lori) Skeels of Clyde, Ohio. She also leaves behind her former spouse, Andy Spencer of Bellevue, Ohio, her step-children, Shelby Covert & Andrew Covert of Clyde, Ohio and father-in-law Thomas Covert.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Cleo Skeels, her sons, Robert Head and TJ Spencer, her brothers, Steve and Clarence Skeels, and her mother-in-law, Ruth Covert. Graveside Services will be conducted1pm, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
