Helen I. Pine

Helen I. Pine, 83, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. She was born February 26, 1930 in Fremont to the late John and Bessie (Ludwig) Miller. Helen was a charter member of Grace Brethren Church (now Grace Community Church) in Fremont. She graduated from York High School in 1948 and had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Zehner's Packing Co. She enjoyed farming with her husband. Mrs. Pine had served as a 4-H advisor and had received an honorary FFA degree. She was a member of the Bellevue VFW Ladies Auxiliary. On July 29, 1950, she married Robert C. Pine. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2011. Survivors include their daughters: Wanda (Gary) Smith; Martha (Ron) Lawrence; and Linda (Bill) Daniel, all of Bellevue; three grandchildren: Jeremy (Nicki) Lawrence of Attica; Megan (Brian) Riley of Waterloo, Iowa; and Dan (Kate Bishop) Erf of Norwalk; and great-granddaughters: Logan Riley and Jailen Houlett. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her siblings. Memorials may be made to the Huron County Fair Board or Grace College
