George F. Roach

George F. Roach, 84, of Paradise, Michigan, formerly of Clyde, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in Newberry, Michigan. He was born in Huntsbur, Michigan on April 8, 1926 to the late Elmer and Kathryn (Platz) Roach. George served our country in the US Army Air Transport Command during WWII. He retired from the Whirlpool Corp after 36 years. On September 7, 1945 he married Doris E. (Smith) and she preceded him in death on November 4, 2009. Survivors include their children: George E. Roach of Clyde; Claudia Laurendau of Clyde; and Travis Roach of Bellevue; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Lloyd Roach, Robert Roach, Gary Roach, Gerald Roach, and June Frailey also survive. In addition to his parents and his wife, George was preceded in death by his siblings: James Roach, Violet Roach, Lawrence Roach, Jesse Truax, Gene Roach, Neva Dunlap, and Mildred Frailey.
