Evelyn Lieb

Evelyn Jean Lieb, age 77, of Clyde, Ohio, passed away on November 1, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1949, in Sandusky, Ohio to Ernest and Jean (Harper) Leber. She graduated from Townsend Township High School in 1967 and later obtained her associates degree.

Evelyn was a spirited and compassionate soul who dedicated her life to her family and her work as a tax preparer. She worked for over 25 years at H & R Block in Fremont, OH and later worked at Holland CPA in Fremont, OH. She also retired from Clyde Light & Power in 2022. Evelyn was known for her supportive nature and funny anecdotes, she brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her love for collecting penguins and passionate hatred for chickens were testaments to her lively spirit and unique personality.

Evelyn was actively involved in her community, serving on the Sandusky County Fair Board and previously on the Clyde Country Fair Board. She and her siblings participated in the Relay for Life and various other fundraisers for the American Cancer Society. Her commitment to her community was rivaled only by her devotion to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

She is survived by her son, Jason Lieb of Port Clinton, OH; daughters, Traci (Sonny) Conger, Marathon, FL and Kim (Justin) Woodruff of Clyde, OH; grandchildren, Jack Warner, III, Emily Dalton, Leah Warner, Dalton Lieb, Payton Woodruff and Charlie Woodruff; siblings: Maynard Leber, Charlie (Erin) Leber, Jackee (Bill) Smith, Gail Leber, Mary (Mark) Wollenslegel, and Tom (Patricia) Leber. Evelyn leaves behind her cherished mother, Jean Leber, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Leber, her in-laws, Sherry Leber and Lynn Olsieski and Aunt Faye Mills and her cousin Barb Ellerbrock.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2026 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. A funeral service will follow on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1320 County Road 268, Vickery, Ohio. Burial will follow in Parkhurst Cemetery.
