Darley Davis Caldwell Obituary (1927

Darley Davis Caldwell, 88, formerly of Clyde, more recently of Pomeroy, Ohio, died at Overbrook Center, Middleport, Ohio. Mr. Caldwell was born on September 10, 1927 in Knott County, Kentucky to William McKinley and Della (Smith) Caldwell. On March 15, 1991, he retired from Whirlpool Corp after 40 years and 7 months of service. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Elizabeth Schiller Caldwell of Pomeroy, Ohio. Six children, Darlene Marie Caldwell Hall; Connie Kay Caldwell Raifsnider (Gary); David Lee Caldwell; Thomas Randolph (Cathy) Caldwell; Bonnie Sue Caldwell Curless all of Clyde and Marsha Faye Caldwell of Fremont. Thirteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Three sisters, Irene Downs, Ky; and Prudie Suedell Jones, Clyde; Charlene Patten, Ky and three brothers, Willie (Ann) Caldwell and Marvin (Marietta) Caldwell, Ca. also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Mae Francis Caldwell in 1975. A grandson preceded him in death. One sister Opal Jones and two brothers, Orbin and Henry Caldwell are also deceased. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 3-6:00 pm at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 10:30 Am at the funeral home. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
