D. Christine Norman Obituary (1928

D. Christine Norman, 85, of Clyde died at her home on Tues., Mar. 18, 2014. Mrs. Norman was born in Muray Co., Tn. on May 23, 1928 to the now deceased William Edgar and Clara Viola (Harvey) Jones. She moved to Clyde in 1951. Christine was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple. She had volunteered at Bethesda Care; she enjoyed playing cards, gardening, sewing working puzzles, quilting and crafts. She especially liked cooking and her family liked her cake decorating. After thirty two years, she retired from the Eaton Corp in Fremont. On Dec. 22, 1945, she married Delbert B. Norman. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1998. Survivors include two sons, Collie Norman, Denver; Delbert, Jr. (Teresa) Norman, Gulf Port, Miss.; two daughters, Linda (Paul) Ricci, Sandusky and Sandy Roth, Clyde. Twelve grandchildren, Ted, Mark, and Wendy Norman; Brianne Markley; Travis Norman; Jessica, Matthew, Michael and Katelyn Ricci; Ciara Ireland; Natasha and Savanna Roth; nine great grandchildren, Delaney, Eve,Colin, Charlie and Josie Norman; Reghan, Norah and Jinelle Markley; Charlotte Ireland also survive. Her brother, Aldon Jones of Nashville and sister, Frances Barnes of Madison,Tn. and two sisters-in-law, Syble Norman, Clyde and Sue Mills, Michigan survive as well. Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by siblings, Elizabeth Cain; Willie Powell; Lee Jones and William E. Jones, Jr. Visitation will be on Fri., Mar. 21, 2014 from 3-7:00 PM at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Sat., March 22, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Fremont Baptist Temple with Pastor Rick Ash officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Fremont Baptist Temple.
