Cristoval D. Contreras Obituary (1933

Cristoval D. Contreras, 83, of Bellevue, died at the Heritage Village of Clyde on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Mr. Contreras was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 30, 1933 to Cruz and Rosa (Davila) Contreras. He was a Army Veteran of the Korean War and a former member of the Bellevue VFW and American Legion. Cristoval was a retired welder for the American Baler in Bellevue. On June 7, 1958, he married Helen Fragoso. She survives, along with their three children, David (Paula) Contreras; Daniel Contreras; and Denis (Randall) Richards, all of Bellevue. Seven grandchildren, Aaron; Lauren; Stacy; Stephanie; Erica; Francesca and Jesse James and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Alex (Irene) Contreras, Oklahoma; Manuel Contreras and one sister, Angie Martinez, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Anita; Sam; Rachael; Eliseo and Rueben Contreras. Visitation will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 9:30 am until the service at 11:00 am at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde with Rev. Randall Richards officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde with military rites provided by the Clyde VFW and American Legion. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors of Bellevue or Stein Hospice.
