Coun E. George Obituary (1937

Coun Eliso George, 76, of Sandusky, died at Firelands Regional Medical Center on Sat., Oct. 26, 2013. Mr. George was born on April 5, 1937 in Coeburn, WV to the now deceased Fred and Bertha (Mullins) George. He moved the Sandusky in 1957, where he had worked as a supervisor at Sandusky Metal Products. Coun then retired from Chesapeake Packaging in 1997. On April 19, 1956, he married Rochelle Merna, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2007. Coun was a devoted father and grandfather and follower of the Lord. He enjoyed playing with the grandchildren,gardening, walking and cooking. He was loved by all whom came in contact with him and will be greatly missed. He was an active member of the Wayside Temple, Castalia. Survivors include a son, David (Nicole) George, Vickery; six grandchildren, Briahna George; Joshua Martin; Jason Tracy; Sage George; Devon Lampman and Justin Kerns, one great grandchild, Miranda Martin and a close special friend, Glenny Hatfield. His son-in-law, Bill Kerns, Dayton; his sisters, Marge (Bob) Koegle, Betty (Mike) Church, all of Sandusky and Ann (Clifford) Johnson, Virginia also survive. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Kerns; son, JD George; brother, Billy George and sister, Marie Ramey. Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the service at Noon at the Wayside Temple, Castalia. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky .
