Bryce Simmons

–

Fremont, Ohio

Bryce Ian Simmons, a thoughtful and generous soul, was born on March 20, 1981, in Sandusky, Ohio, and spent most of his life in the heart of the Buckeye State. Known for his kindness and unwavering spirit, Bryce was a beacon of warmth and comfort to those around him. His career path led him to work for the Hyatt corporation as a purchasing director, and he also spent several years in hospitality management, showcasing his exquisite ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Most recently he had been working for Heinz in Fremont.

Bryce's zest for life was evident in his avid love for music, which he translated into his younger years as a DJ. An avid sports fan, he reveled in cheering on the Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He had an affinity for the great outdoors, often finding comfort in camping trips and time spent near the water. His love of water took him to Florida for a time. The sun and calm seas soothed his soul. Florida was like a second home, but his heart always brought him back to his roots in Ohio.

Bryce leaves behind his beloved daughter, Caitlin Shammo; his loving mother, Kimberly Weis; his siblings, Torri Weis, Jamie Bollenbacher, Amiee Simmons and his sister, Dana Simmons; and his cherished aunt and uncle, Lynn (Mark) Bauman and Mark (Karen) Weis. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Simmons. Please join us to celebrate Bryce's life on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 4:00pm -7:00pm at Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio, 43410.
