Barbara J. Shufelt

Barbara J. Shufelt, 86, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully, surrounded with love early Wednesday morning, October 23, 2024 at the Willows at Bellevue.

Barb was born in Bellevue on October 25, 1937 to the late Leonard and Martha (Nicol) Engler. On October 29, 1955 she married Ervin J. Shufelt and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2022.
She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She was a loving and caring Mom & Grandma. Over the years Barb babysat for many little ones, some whom she cared for from newborn until they began school. Many became much like family to her and her husband Erv. Barb enjoyed playing word games with her friends and family.

Barb is survived by son, Kevin Shufelt of Bellevue, OH; two daughters, Kelly (Dean) Frederick of Bellville, OH, and Karen (John) Miller of Tiffin, OH; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, two brothers, Bruce (Geri) Engler of Florida, and Doyle Engler of Sandusky, OH. In addition to her parents and husband, Ervin, Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Keith Shufelt, and brother, David Engler.
Private burial will be in Bellevue City Cemetery.
