Ann Elizabeth Pumphrey

–

Green Springs, Ohio

Ann Elizabeth Pumphrey, known by all as Lisa, aged 58, of Green Springs, Ohio, transitioned peacefully on May 14, 2026 at her home. Lisa was born on March 23, 1968, in Fremont, OH.

Lisa was a resilient woman, a woman of unwavering faith. Her true calling was being a mother… how deeply she loved her family and her very cherished grandchildren. Lisa was an adventurous spirit who loved being outdoors; biking, hiking, kayaking. Being at the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, finding a good thrift or gathered around a campfire brought her immense joy.

She previously resided in Landrum, SC, before settling down in Green Springs, Ohio.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Kerry Pumphrey of Green Springs, Ohio; her beloved children, Angela Benavides of Fremont, Ohio, Reed (Michelle) Pumphrey of Stow, Ohio, Kerry (Dexter) Anstead of Clyde, Ohio, and Jami (Michael) Johnston of Cross Lanes, WV; loving grandchildren, Ava, Vincent, Julian, Titan, Vaya, Giovanna, Dalton, Decklan, Laykin and Adley; her sister, Lucinda (Sandra) Benavidez of Buckeye, AZ and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margarita Benavidez, and her siblings, DeAnna Silva and Vince Benavidez.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held 1-5pm, Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Clyde Eagles. Memorial contributions in honor of Lisa may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. We invite everyone to share their memories of Lisa and upload photos to the memorial page.

In honoring her life, please remember the love she gave so freely and in the quiet ways she always chose to put others before herself. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we choose to carry her with us in the beautiful things she left behind: in the strength she taught us to have, in the way we will choose to love people unconditionally, the very way she loved us and in every sacrifice she taught us to make without seeking recognition.

“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
Proverbs 31:31

Some people leave behind great possessions or accomplishments, she leaves behind the greatest love we will ever know.

You will be deeply missed — beyond words, beyond time.
May you finally get some rest now Mom.
